Here is a good video of what Action Half Life was about. It had a lot of Matrix influences as well, as a lot of shooters back then did obviously. This mod was more like a Max Payne mod without the slowmotion shootdodge. While I personally think this wasn't as much fun as Surprise Half Life, we quickly turned our attention to this mod in particular.
This is what a typical match would look like:Īhh those good sounds. The chaos was insane, and if you look at the video below it's not crazy to see why. Every weapon had multiple different firing modes which would do radically different things depending on what option you picked. In this variation on a normal DM match, this mod was all about the weapon options. Then we got turned onto the modding scene and found so many good mods. Half LIfe had come out a few years before, and the most fun we had was playing games through LAN obviously.
After school me and my friends would meet at a sort of youth center where we had the ability to play pool, soccer or play on PC's which were connected through LAN. And especially two multiplayer mods that took up a lot of time in the early 2000's. Allright basically I want to talk to you about Half Life 1 mods.
